New to church or Echo Hills? Great!

It may be a little intimidating to go to church for the first time or at least a new church. Here are a few things that we hope will help you before you join us on a Sunday morning.

What should I wear?

We ask that you wear what you are comfortable in when you go out to the store or to a friends house. We are a casual, come as you are group of people.

What should I expect?

First, you’ll notice we have a very large campus, but our hope is that your first impression of us is love. As you enter the front doors you will be greeted by our welcome team and invited to grab a cup of coffee, get information at our Connection Point Welcome Counter, check in your kids in our Children’s ministry and make your way into our sanctuary to find a seat.

What happens during a church gathering (service)?

At Echo Hills we usually start by inviting everyone to come into the sanctuary so that we can begin. We have a worship team (band) that will lead us in worship, a time of singing, for about 35-40 minutes. This is usually followed up with our financial offering collection, announcements and a message from the bible from one of our pastors. Upon the closing of our gatherings we have a team of individuals we call our Frontline ministry team that is available to pray for any needs one would like prayer for. Fellowship and connection usually take place after service. It’s a great time to get to know others, ask questions and share testimonies from the morning gathering. We usually will be done with our gatherings around 11:30AM.

What about kids?

We love kids! We love kids so much that we have the children join us for our time of worship. Family is really important to us and having the kids in our gatherings makes for a great opportunity to help strengthen the faith in families. At times it may seem like kids are a distraction, but we believe that we are called to help the children in their worship. After worship we dismiss the kids into an age appropriate class: 18mo-preK we call Little Vibes and 1st-6th graders we call Sounders. In Children’s ministry the kids get equipped to know the love and power of Jesus Christ. We value the safety of our children so we do require all kids that participate in our children’s ministry to have a parent/guardian sign them in and out. Our check in area is in the foyer of our front entrance.

What do I bring?

Many of our members and guests will come with a bible, journal and a cup of coffee. Some use a bible app on their phones and grab a cup of free coffee that we offer. We do have bibles available and often will put the bible verses we are studying on the screens.
